Full Time Head of School - Crewe

Ashlea House School are an independent specialist school providing high quality, therapeutic & child centred education to young people from the ages of 11 to 17 years of age in Crewe area.

The young people that attend our education are taught in small groups & supported by a Teaching assistant. The young people have a variety of back grounds but in the main are from either SEMH, SEND (such as Autism & ADHD)

Our school is now seeking a Head of School, this position is varied, challenging & extremely rewarding. You will be required to provide leadership, teach (if required) & support the young people with their requirements.

Within this role you will be responsible for working closely with a range of industry professionals, manage the existing team of staff & deliver clear authentic leadership that will inspire, engage, and influence real change within the school.

Ideally you will have the following:

  • QTS – Qualified Teacher Status with a proven record of good or above teaching practice
  • Have experience working with children with SEMH & SEND, with an understanding of crisis-management, managing behaviour that challenges and supporting children who have experienced adverse childhood experiences.
  • Be driven to engage in all aspects of school life, with the passion and resilience to make a difference to the lives of their pupils.
  • Organisation skills – manage the schools finances for the site with support from HR &  Head of Education Manager
  • Have previous leadership skills.
